This entry titled "The Ring Mistress" by Richelle Dynae Rudeen from the UK really captures the essence of the Big Top.  "The tent rustles in the breeze. Lions roar. The crack of the whip fills the ring. The circus is danger and spectacle, fantasy and nightmare."
