It’s an unfortunate fact that it will take a lot of money to run the 11th Southern Hemisphere Felt Convergence. One of the Convergence Committee’s first tasks is to start the fund raising program and to run it relentlessly right through Convergence. The more money we raise the better the Convergence will be and we have a big and exciting program in mind for you to enjoy.
Helen O’Neill of the wonderful
Sals Wool Den, got the fund raising going straight away with a raffle for a big $110 worth of wool tops. Members of FeltWEST and
Bunbury Felters all were eager to be a winner and bought tickets from Helen when she joined the groups at their recent meetings. Barb from
Bunbury Felters was the lucky lady and we look forward to seeing some of her creations made from the prize.
Helen is now raffling two items donated by Jacqui of the
Bunbury Felters group. A copy of the inspirational new book The Felted Play (Fitz Spiel) written by German felt maker Annette Quentin Stoll. It’s a quirky and fun approach to felt objects and beautifully illustrated.
Plus a lovely hand dyed network felt scarf. It’s also the right size to use as a table runner during our hot summer months so can be used all the year round.
If you see Helen on her visits to the various felting and weaving groups make sure you buy a ticket. If you’d like to support her with her fund raising and would like to donate a suitable item please email us here at
