Let’s face it, felt jewellery can be tricky. So often it’s a case of just because we can doesn’t mean we should. Some felters however produce beautiful pieces and Kim of the
Bunbury Felters group is one of those talented individuals.
Kim’s flair seems to be instinctive. Just new to felting, she decided to start small and from experiments making balls and discs her felt jewellery was born.
Not surprisingly Kim’s first necklace was snapped up straight away. The purchaser was going to the 10th Felt Convergence at Masterton and was looking for something to go with the dress she was planning to wear.
Kim made 3 more necklaces and put them in to Stirling Street Art Centre’s “Out of Our Desert” exhibition. They sold before the exhibition opened.
Looks like you have a talent Kim.
We love them.
