Convergence is a gathering of felt makers and sharing knowledge is the underlying theme. It is four full days of immersion and indulgence in every aspect of felt making suitable for all levels of experience. Anyone interested in felt making and textiles should attend. There is no need to belong to a formal textile organisation or felting group. Just come along, learn, share, felt and have fun.

World of WearableArt Awards Show 2010 - Postscript

We have had several emails from readers over the last couple of weeks saying how much they have enjoyed seeing all the amazing wearable art entries from the WOW World of WearableArt Show 2010 and how they feel inspired to create  a garment of their own.

Well, if you are coming to the 11th Southern Hemisphere Felting Convergence you will have a great opportunity to display your garment and accessory creations in our very own Fashion Parade that will be held on the evening of Tuesday 4th October 2011.  Put the date in your diary now!

We will be having a spectacular night of entertainment with your work on show. So if you are coming to the Convergence remember to bring your beautiful garments and wearable art for this fashion event. We will be providing models for the catwalk show and all will be professionally  photographed.

The pieces don't need to be as extravagant as the ones we have been showing in our recent WOW posts. To give you some ideas here are our very own WOW entrants Kerry Gelmi and Val Hornibrook and their new best friend Svenga wearing their own felt creations at the WOW World of WearableArt Awards Show 2010 -
